At HEALTHeME, our vision is to give people the knowledge, motivation, and support necessary to achieve long lasting weight loss and optimum health. Taking action towards the goal of healthy living and making smart choices along the way are both very important, and can be difficult to do. Over the course of days, weeks and months, the effects of these little decisions compound to have a dramatic impact on your weight.
HEALTHeME is comprised of a team of health professionals from the fields of clinical nutrition, exercise science, behavior science, and communications. We've come together to help people manage all aspects of their health, including weight loss and disease management, all in one place, even when they are on the go.
Dr. Rachmuth develops the algorithms and artificial learning capabilities of the HEALTHeME engine. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Biomedical engineering with a focus on neuroplasticity – how the brain rewires and adapts in response to experience. His work was performed at MIT under the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) where he continues his role as a research affiliate. In his spare time, Guy assembles ships to put inside of bottles. Fortunately, he has little time to spare.
Sloan has worked in the clinical obesity industry for over 15 years. She helped design HEALTHeME to deliver clinically-based weight management treatments outside of the walls of a medical clinic, and is a nationally recognized speaker in mobile health. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Harvard University, where she conducted research in memory and learning. Sloan has a two-year old son (Zach) and a 4-month old daughter (Zen), so she never sleeps and she’s never grouchy!
Shannon is one of the behaviorists here at HEALTHeME. Shannon holds an M.S. in Psychology and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Media Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. Currently an Instructor for Hospital Procedures and Pharmacology, Shannon has over ten years experience as a college-level educator and researcher in psychology and pharmacy. Her research includes patient medication compliance, chronic pain management, and depression management.
